When we ask candidates for their schedule/availability to interview, the easiest answer is for them to give us a small window off the top of their heads. However, it’s not efficient when candidates give us just an hour or a day to schedule the interview. We must take into account that hiring managers are busy. Unless we’re told otherwise, try to get a schedule for at least 5 days.

Joe,
I’d like to get your availability to schedule a [phone/on-site] interview during the coming days so the manager can match up with [his/her] schedule. Let’s start with tomorrow. How does your morning and afternoon look? How about Thursday? How about Friday? How about next Monday? How about next Tuesday?
